What we see

When the business has changed, but the brand has not

What looks like a design issue can quickly become a business issue.

When the brand has fallen behind the business, or is signalling the wrong things to prospective clients, the firm becomes harder to understand and harder to distinguish. It also becomes more dependent on advisers explaining its value personally and on word of mouth doing the work.

You’ll recognise some of this straight away. Some of it is harder to see from inside the business:

  • The brand makes the firm look smaller than it actually is

  • Messages and visual signals do not quite line up

  • Services or structures take too long to explain

  • Real points of difference that clients never notice

  • Teams applying the brand differently, depending who you ask

Now Next helps close the gap between the business you've built and the brand people see.

Common questions

Does this always mean changing the whole brand?

Not necessarily. Sometimes a brand needs a substantial rethink. In other cases, the foundations are sound but particular parts of the identity, messaging or client experience need to evolve. We begin by understanding what is working, what is getting in the way and what will make the greatest difference.

Who do you typically work with?

We work with established organisations, growing businesses and founder-led businesses where the brand no longer reflects the business behind it or where it is heading. That might be because the business has grown, changed direction, added new offers or simply outgrown an earlier version of its brand.

Who would we be working with?

You would work directly with Rob Chivers, founder and creative director of Now Next. Rob has more than 20 years’ experience developing brand identities and communications in Australia, Ireland and the UK. Depending on the project, additional designers and specialist support can be brought in where required.

How are projects scoped and priced?

Projects are scoped around the work required rather than placed into a standard package. Larger engagements can be divided into stages, helping you make decisions progressively and manage the investment over time. After an initial conversation, we can recommend an appropriate scope, timing and fee.
